On 23–24 September 2025, the partners of the EU-funded ROADVIEW project gathered in Istanbul for their 8th General Assembly. The two-day meeting was hosted by FORD and brought together consortium members to review progress, plan the final stages of the project, and showcase the latest demonstrations.
Day 1 – Project status and technical updates
The meeting opened with a welcome from Berzah Ozan (FORD), followed by a comprehensive project overview presented by Eren (HH). Work package leaders then shared progress and next steps on coordination and innovation management, physical system setup, sensor modelling, data logging, perception systems, control and decision-making, XiL testing, integration, and communication and dissemination.
The first day concluded with open discussions, wrap-up by Eren (HH), and a networking dinner, strengthening collaboration across partners.
Day 2 – Live demo and collaborative planning
The highlight of the event was the live truck demo introduced by Osman Tahir Ekşi (FORD), which showcased ROADVIEW’s cutting-edge perception and control technologies in action. The demonstration was a major milestone for the project and was followed by a group photo.
In the afternoon, partners reconvened for group sessions focusing on demo integration, validation of the XiL environment, and exploring opportunities for a potential ROADVIEW follow-up project. Group representatives reported back in a wrap-up session moderated by Eren (HH), before closing words brought the meeting to an end.
