We are pleased to invite you to the ROADVIEW Final Event: Automated Driving in Adverse Weather Conditions, taking place on 19 August 2026 at the AVL Mobility and Sensor Center Roding in Germany, with hybrid access available for remote participants.
ROADVIEW is a Horizon Europe research and innovation project advancing automated driving technologies in challenging weather conditions, including rain, fog, snow and low-visibility environments. The project has developed and validated an integrated system architecture combining advanced perception systems, intelligent control and decision-making algorithms, V2X communication and cross-scenario validation in urban, highway and winter environments.
The final event will present ROADVIEW’s key results, innovations and real-world demonstrations, bringing together stakeholders from research, industry, policy and the wider automated mobility ecosystem.
Participants will have the opportunity to:
- gain first-hand insights into ROADVIEW’s validated R&I results on perception, control, V2X and validation;
- hear expert contributions from leading actors in automated driving and intelligent transport systems;
- join a panel discussion on deployment, regulation, safety and market readiness;
- experience a live demonstration of an automated urban driving scenario at the AVL Mobility and Sensor Center Roding;
- exchange with experts, project partners and stakeholders during networking sessions, poster presentations and demonstration activities.
The event is particularly relevant for automotive OEMs and suppliers, technology providers, SMEs, research organisations, universities, policymakers, regulatory bodies, infrastructure operators, mobility service providers, innovation clusters and EU project participants.
